Gavin Garrett recorded a mammoth throw in the Javelin for the North Harrison boys at South Harrison last Tuesday. Payton Craig won the Javelin on the girls side as North Harrison kept up its dominance in that event.
Garrett’s throw was 143’9”, beating his throw at Worth County by almost 18 feet. He needed every bit of it, as Harrison Kerchner (Albany) was pushing him, getting a second place throw of 128’5”.
On the girls side, while Grace Schottel (King City) dominated the sprint events, getting a personal best in the 100 and winning the 400 by a whopping 11+ seconds, North Harrison was able to get on the board as Vici Stellpflug got fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:15.69.
Mardee Sadowsky was third in the 800 with a time of 2:51.07.
Emma Craig was sixth in the Shot Put with a throw of 29’3”. She was second in the Discus with a throw of 91’10”.
Payton Craig continued to dominate in the Javelin, getting a throw of 108’4”; that was almost 12 feet better than her nearest rival.
For the remaining boys events, Connor Stobbe was sixth in the 100 with a time of 12.87.
Cameron Hamaker was fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:00.83. He was also third in the 800 with a time of 2:39.21.
Gavin Garrett was third in the 1600 with a time of 5:44.72. Daniel Martinez was sixth with a time of 6:36.76.
