Emma Hart Installed as North Nodaway FFA President

Emma Hart was installed as the North Nodaway FFA President Wednesday night at the FFA Banquet and three North Nodaway teams were recognized for going to state. There were 22 FFA members and 55 guests present.

New officers for 2018-2019 are Emma Hart (President), Kristin Herndon (1st Vice President), MaKayla Cross (2nd Vice President), Audrey Trimble (Secretary), Cheyenne Murphy (Treasurer), Emily Dew (Reporter), Karissa Oberhauser (Historian), Cody Cline (Sentinel), Layna Murphy (Parliamentarian), and Karson Oberhauser (Chaplain).

Outgoing officers, who served in 2017-2018, were Taylor Combs (President), Cole Bird (1st Vice-President), Kristin Herndon (2nd Vice-President), Emma Hart (Secretary), Makayla Cross (Treasurer), Audrey Trimble (Co-Reporter), Cheyenne Murphy (Co-Reporter), Arron Coleman (Sentinel), Emily Dew (Historian), Bailey Tate (Parliamentarian), and Layna Murphy (Chaplain).

Recognized for getting Chapter FFA Degrees were Lucas Alvarez, Austin Bird, Tyler Bix, Tyler Chesnut, Veronica Ghedini, Logan Keho, Layna Murphy, Ryan Riley, Drexel Richardson, and Dalton Smyser.

Getting Chapter Leadership Awards were Taylor Combs, Cole Bird, Bailey Tate, Kristin Herndon, Emma Hart, MaKayla Cross, Audrey Trimble, Cheyenne Murphy, Emily Dew, and Arron Coleman.
Getting Chapter Scholarship Awards were Taylor Combs, Cole Bird, Bailey Tate, Kristin Herndon, Emma Hart, MaKayla Cross, Audrey Trimble, Cheyenne Murphy, and Emily Dew.

The Effort Award this year went to Veronica Ghedini.

Taylor Combs will receive a State FFA Degree at the State Convention.

Star Greenhand went to Karissa Oberhauser. Star Chapter Farmer went to Taylor Combs.

In contests this year, the Agronomy team finished 5th in Districts and qualified for state. Members are Taylor Combs, Emily Dew, Ashley Thompson, and Cole Bird.

The Floriculture team was 5th in Districts and qualified for state. Members are Emma Hart, Audrey Trimble, MaKayla Cross, and Keagan O’Riley.

The Nursery Landscape team was 3rd at Districts and qualified for state. Members are Kristin Herndon, Cheyenne Murphy, and Olivia Miller.

The Dairy Foods team was 15th at Districts. Members were Tyler Bix, Ryan Riley, Lucas Alvarez, Austin Bird, Logan Keho, and Dalton Smyser.

The Entomology team was 16th at Districts. Members were Bailey Tate, Rachael Gray, Karissa Oberhauser, Karson Oberhauser, Dakota Wray, Veronica Ghedini, and Layna Murphy.

The Livestock team was 26th at Districts. Members were Andrew Blackford, Cody Cline, and Carson Hoepker.

The outgoing 2017-2018 officer team led the Opening Ceremonies and outgoing President Taylor Combs gave the welcome. Outgoing chaplain Layna Murphy gave the invocation.
