Junior High Lady Shamrocks Excel at Albany

North Harrison’s Junior High Lady Shamrocks punched well above their weight in basketball last fall, winning ten games when nobody expected them to do much. Now, they are punching well above their numbers in track. In Albany Thursday, they were sixth with a total of 42 team points. They did not get a single first place showing, but had several solid results to account for their points.

Jayliegh Robins tried her hand in the 100 and was fourth with a time of 14.57. Robins also came in third in the 200, getting a time of 30.04.

The 4x100 team of Camden Castleberry, Jayliegh Robins, Trendi Johnson, and Halle Morgan was third with a time of 1:02.28.

Camden Castleberry finished tied for third in the High Jump with a height of 4’2”. Robins picked up her fourth medal of the day in the Long Jump, getting a fourth place finish of 13’10”. Deva Wallace was sixth with a jump of 13’3”. Camden Castleberry was eighth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 24’9½”.

Baily Briggs picked up two medals in the throwing events. She was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 29 feet. She was third in the Discus with a throw of 69’2¾”.

On the boys side, Kamden Robertson was sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:09.67.
