Emmy L. Sackett was born on January 21, 1943 to Eduard
Tomann and Emma Marie Albrecht Tomann in Karthal, Germany. She passed away at
her home in Ravenwood, Missouri surrounded by love, under the care of Hospice.
She came to the United States on August 28th 1965
as a young woman bringing her son Andy with her. She married Elton Sackett May
13th of 2000 in Parnell. She worked at Worth County Convalescent
Center for 27 years as a Physical Therapist.
She enjoyed crochet and various other crafts and traveling
the country with her husband and her Papillon Chiefy.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, husbands: Richard Auten of Germany(1967), Charles King of
Grant City, Mo. (1987) Gary Maudlin of Ravenwood, Mo.(1997) and sister-in-law
Marcia Tomann.
Survivors include her husband Elton Sackett, children: Suzanne King, Charles (Joannie) King II,
Holly (Randy) Cooper , Andy (Karla) King, Deanna (Chris) Shireman, Paul (Jamie)
Sackett and Melia (Matt) Douglas, 10
Grandchildren and 16 great
Grandchildren, brother, Edi Tomann and nephew Michael Tomann and many other
relatives and friend.
Visitation will be held at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in
Grant City, MO on Thursday September 7th, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. Mass of
Christian burial will be held Friday, September 8th, 2017 at 10:30
A.M. at Parnell Catholic Church, Father Allan Stetz officiating. Burial in
Grant City Cemetery.
