Obituary -- Charles Parman 1924-2017

Charles Herbert Parman, 93, Pickering, MO died Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cameron.

Charles was born January 21, 1924 in Denver, MO to Dennis Woodson and Carrie Mable Abplanalp Parman.

He was a graduate of Skidmore, MO High School and attended Iowa State Teacher's College Flight School in Cedar Falls, IA. Charles proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps.

A member of the Maryville First Christian Church, he also had belonged to Xenia Masonic Lodge #50, was a leader of Boy Scout Troop #64, Pickering, and had served on the North Nodaway School Board.

Preceding Charles in death were his parents, wife Geraldine (November 10, 2003), daughter-in-law Linda Parman (October 13, 2013), sister Colette Parman, and brothers Dennis Jr., George, Loren, Lester and John.

He is survived by sons, Dennis (Kenna) Parman and John Parman, Pickering, daughters, Rebecca Parman Crozier, Golden, CO and Vicki (Herbert) Hammer, Chandler, AZ., Grandchildren: Mitchell (Stephanie) Parman, Michelle Parman, Lauree (Daniel) Valverde, Michael (Phoebe Owens) Crozier, Casey (Cara) Parman, Betsy (Joel) Nespory, Levi Hammer and Elizabeth Hammer; great-grandchildren: Xander, Tyler and Journee Parman, Cassie and Ruby Valverde, Hank Crozier, Elsie Nespory, Jacob Richard Hammer, and brother Donald Parman, Lafayette, IN, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation was held 6-8 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Funeral Services were held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 2nd, at Price Funeral Home, with burial following at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville. Military Services were provided by the Missouri Military Honor's Program and the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100.
