Paige West Wins 100 Hurdles; NEN Junior High Girls 7th

Paige West won the 100 Hurdles for Northeast Nodaway and the junior high NEN track team was seventh at the Tiger Relays Thursday. The boys posted 8 team points.

West was fourth in the 100, where she posted a time of 14.55.

West had been edged out by Morgan Beagle (Worth County) in Stanberry a couple of weeks before. But this time, West posted a personal best and won with a time of 17.93 to Beagle’s 18.08.

West was also sixth in the Long Jump with a leap of 12’10½”.

Northeast’s other points came in the throwing events. Blair Stoll was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 30’5”. Stoll got a personal best in the Discus and was second with a throw of 80’3”. Madelynn Mattson was sixth with a throw of 72’9”.

For the boys, Chase Atkins was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 34’6½”. Atkins was also fourth in the Discus, with a throw of 109’6”.
