Junior High Tigers Third at Tarkio in Crowded Field

Worth County’s girls were third in a crowded field at Tarkio, with several strong teams coming to compete. Rock Port won with 89 points, followed by Albany with 77, Worth County with 75.5, Platte Valley 57, South/Nodaway Holt 37, North Andrew 32, East Atchison 31.5, Mound City 25, St. Gregory’s 22, and North/West Nodaway 19.

Keelin Engel was second in the 100 with a time of 14.06.

Megan Cassavaugh was fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:10.05.

Braidy Hunt was third in the 800 with a time of 2:54.55.

Morgan Beagle won the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.55. Jill Hardy was fourth with a time of 19.49.
The 4x100 team of Morgan Beagle, Aivry Griffin, Allison Larison, and Keelin Engel was third with a time of 58.59. The 4x200 team of Megan Cassavaugh, Braidy Hunt, Jill Hardy, and Aivry Griffin was fifth with a time of 2:07.22. The 4x400 team of Jill Hardy, Allison Larison, Morgan Beagle, and Braidy Hunt was sixth with a time of 4:57.99.

Aivry Griffin was third in the High Jump with a jump of 4’2”.

Keelin Engel won the Pole Vault with a height of 8’6”. Megan Cassavaugh was tied for sixth with a vault of 6 feet.

Morgan Beagle was fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 12’11”.

The Tigers placed two in the Triple Jump. Braidy Hunt was second with a jump of 29’1½”. Jill Hardy was fourth with a jump of 28’8¼”.

Maddie Taute was sixth in the Shot Put with a throw of 27’10½”. Emilee Brown was sixth in the Discus with a throw of 61’11”.
