Interstate 29 Road Work Planned in Buchanan County

Contractors will be performing concrete repairs in advance of an asphalt overlay on Interstate 29 between mile marker 30 and mile marker 38 (near Faucett)  over the next two weeks, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Work is scheduled to begin on the southbound lanes Tuesday, May 29, at 9 a.m. (weather permitting) to avoid disrupting the morning commute. Work will continue through Thursday, May 31.  All lanes will be open to traffic Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Southbound work is scheduled to conclude on Monday, June 4.
Upon completion of the southbound lanes, contractors will begin work on the northbound lanes beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, to allow for the evening commute. Work will continue through Thursday, June 7, with no work scheduled on Friday, June 8, to avoid traffic disruption on heavy traffic days. Northbound work is scheduled to conclude Monday, June 11.
The same section of I-29 is scheduled for an asphalt overlay following the July 4th holiday.
