Garrett Hawk Pursues Golf Dreams

Tiger athlete Garrett Hawk has shown serious dedication to golf as he qualified for state this year for the Worth County Tigers. He plans to pursue his dreams this summer as well, participating in a Fellowship of Christian Athletes golf tournament being held at Mozingo Lake Golf Course. This annual tournament is used to create awareness of ministry outreach and to raise funds to support programs and activities associated with the local FCA chapter in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.
On Friday, June 27th, 2008, Hawk and other golfers will attempt to play at least 100 holes of golf before sundown in order to raise $2,500 in pledge support for this ministry. FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in America and an FCA chapter has started at Worth County. Tish Warner is the local huddle leader for the group. To sponsor Hawk, you can contact him at ghawk6543@yahoo.com, (660) 799-2636, or contact Tish Warner at twarner@wc.k12.mo.us, (660) 564-2218. For more information about the event and hole sponsorships, or to participate in this year’s event, please contact Wes Simmons at (816) 238-2850.
