Barnes says Graves Supports Oil Giveaway

Kay for Congress Spokesman Steve Glorioso made the following statement today:
"Today is a proud day for Congressman Sam Graves. On the heels of a visit from Treasury Department Secretary Henry Paulson, rebate checks printed in Kansas City are being sent straight to one of Graves' strongest campaign backers: ExxonMobil.
"With the price of gas at a record high - $3.57 this morning - consumers will be depositing their checks at the fuel pump instead of at the bank. Yet, despite record profits in the billions, oil companies are still getting tax giveaways from the federal government. Their biggest sponsor is none other than Congressman Sam Graves.
"Today, when consumers receive a rebate check that fails to cover the increased costs of gas, health care, and food since Graves and Bush took office in 2001, they should remember who Washington is really working for: billionaire oil men and other special interests."
