Tiger Boys Track Remains Unbeaten After Stanberry Win

The Tiger boys track team got two stiff challenges at the Indian Relays on April 22nd and the Bulldog Relays April 26th, but their unbeaten streak remained intact.

At Stanberry, Worth County had 105 points, followed by Mound City with 82 and Stanberry with 78. Maysville had 56, Nodaway Valley 44, King City 43, Albany 34, North Andrew 29, Pattonsburg 29, Braymer 28, Rock Port 27, Platte Valley 26, and Union Star 7.

Stanberry won handily on the girls side with 82 points, and the 2nd through 12th positions were loaded, with only 31 points separating those places. Rock Port had 57, Maysville 56, DeKalb 54, Pattonsburg 52, Platte Valley 49, Albany 37, Worth County 36, Braymer 32, Union Star 31, King City 30, North Andrew 26, North Nodaway 19, Mound City 14, and Nodaway Valley 11.

For the girls, Emma Spencer was fourth in the 100 with a time of 13.52. Hailey Adwell was sixth with a time of 13.71. Brooklyn Richardson was second in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 17.67. 

The 4x100 relay team of Hailey Adwell, Abbi Brown, Eva Engel, and Bridgette Hightshoe was second with a time of 54.77. The 4x200 team of Hailey Adwell, Abbi Brown, Eva Engel, and ZeeAnna Gladstone was sixth with a time of 2:03.04. 

Eva Engel was third in the Pole Vault with a height of 8’6”. Paige Sherer was fifth with a height of 6’11¾”. Kara Staton was fifth in the Discus with a throw of 101’5”. Ali Brown was fourth in the Javelin with a throw of 100’11”.

Cannon Fletcher was third in the 1600 with a time of 5:13.80. Jace Cousatte and Aydan Gladstone were 1-2 in the 110 Hurdles, with Cousatte winning with a time of 16.49 and Gladstone getting second with a time of 16.85. Cousatte won the 300 Hurdles with a time of 43.35. 

The 4x100 Relay Team of Aydan Gladstone, Alex Rinehart, Braxton Hightshoe, and Levi Cassavaugh won with a time of 46.38. The 4x200 team of Aydan Gladstone, Levi Cassavaugh, Braxton Hightshoe, and Jace Cousatte won with a time of 1:36.25. The 4x400 team of Jace Cousatte, Alex Rinehart, Braxton Hightshoe, and Levi Cassavaugh won with a time of 3:42.13.  

Braxton Hightshoe was second in the High Jump with a height of 6’0¾”. Aydan Gladstone was third in the Pole Vault with a height of 11 feet. 

Tyler New was third in the Triple Jump with a jump of 37’3¼”. 

Jace Latham was second in the Shot Put with a throw of 43’5¼”. Colt Cameron was fifth with a throw of 38’9¼”. Elias Alarcon was sixth in the Discus with a throw of 114’6½”. Alex Rinehart was third in the Javelin with a throw of 145’0¼”. Tyler New was fourth with a throw of 129’10¼.”
