Junior High Tiger Teams Sweep GRC Meet

Worth County’s teams won the GRC Junior High Meet at North Andrew Thursday, somehow getting it in despite threatening weather. The girls won a two way meet with Albany, while the boys ran away with their meet, doubling up King City.

For the girls, Worth County had 191, Albany 140, Pattonsburg 44, Stanberry 24, North Andrew 20, King City 20, and St. Joseph Christian 1.

For the boys, Worth County had 172, King City 86, Albany 57, North Andrew 44, Stanberry 43, North Harrison 36, St. Joseph Christian 13, and Pattonsburg 5.

For the girls, Rayleigh Smith won the 100 with a time of 14.53. The Tigers were 1-2 in the 200 with Katie Fletchall winning with a time of 30.90, and Rayleigh Smith second with a time of 31.39. Alivia Moyer was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:18.01. The Tigers were 1-2 in the 800 with Brylea Paxson winning with a time of 2:54 and Kristen Tracy second with a time of 2:59. Both were personal bests. Brylea Paxson won the 1600 with a personal best time of 6:23, while Kristen Tracy was second with a time of 7:04. Riley Ridge was second in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 19.38, while Kristen Tracy was third with a personal best time of 20.24.

The 4x100 Relay Team of Katie Fletchall, Keira Hardy, Addie Gray, and Rayleigh Smith won with a time of 58.17. The 4x200 team of Katie Fletchall, Keira Hardy, Addie Gray, and Sumer Riley won with a personal best time of 2:04.75. The 4x400 team of Rylee Ruckman, Sara Fletchall, Sumer Riley, and Keira Hardy was third with a time of 5:13.

Riley Ridge was second in the High Jump with a height of 4’5¼. Sara Fletchall won the Pole Vault with a height of 6 feet. Riley Ridge was second with a height of 5’6¼, while Kambree Briner was third, also with a height of 5’6¼.

Katie Fletchall was third in the Long Jump with a jump of 12 feet. Rayleigh Smith was right behind at fourth with a personal best of 11’10¼”. Riley Ridge won the Triple Jump with a jump of 28’3¾”. Alivia Moyer was fourth with a jump of 22’7¼”. 

Rylee Ruckman was third in the Shot Put with a personal best throw of 29’11¾”. Marissa Schmitz was sixth with a throw of 24’8¾”. Rylee Ruckman won the Discus with a throw of 68’10¾. Marissa Schmitz was second with a personal best throw of 62’8”. Addie Gray was fifth with a throw of 51’10”.

For the boys, Bo Collins won the 100 with a time of 12.43. Bo also won the 200 with a time of 25.34, while Sawyer Thurman was fifth with a time of 30.58 and Hayden Sanders sixth with a personal best of 31.05. Brayden Stevens won the 400 with a time of 1:00.51. Lucas Frisch was second in the 800 with a time of 2:27.77. Brayden Stevens won the 100 Hurdles with a time of 15.66, while Andrew Griffin was third with a time of 17.90, while Brayden Combs was fifth with a time of 18.81.

The 4x100 Relay Team of Andrew Griffin, Lucas Frisch, Brayden Murphy, and Franklynn Taute won with a personal best time of 51.47. The 4x200 team of Sawyer Thurman, Lucas Frisch, Brayden Murphy, and Franklynn Taute was second with a time of 1:49.84. The 4x400 team of Brayden Murphy, Brayden Combs, Sawyer Thurman, and Franklynn Taute won with a time of 4:26.06.

In the High Jump, Andrew Griffin won with a height of 5’1”. Bo Collins was tied for third with a height of 4’11”. Brayden Stevens won the Pole Vault with a personal best of 10 feet. Brayden Combs was second, matching a personal best with a height of 8’6”. Wyatt Hill was fourth with a height of 6’6”. 

Franklynn Taute was fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 14’8¾”. He edged out teammate Brayden Stevens, who finished fifth on tiebreaks with a jump of 14’8¾”. Andrew Griffin was third in the Triple Jump with a jump of 32’4¼”. Lucas Frisch was fifth with a jump of 32’0¾”. 

Ethan Lininger won the Shot Put with a throw of 34’0¾”. Jace Cameron was third with a personal best of 33’8”. Brayden Murphy was fifth with a throw of 33’0½”. Bo Collins won the Discus with a throw of 127’11½” while Jace Cameron was second with a personal best of 104’11¾”.
