Ruby, Mylee Wilmes Have Strong Showings at 275 Meet

Ruby and Mylee Wilmes did well at the Highway 275 meet for Northeast Nodaway on Tuesday, May 3rd, with Ruby winning the 400 in the Junior High, while Ruby was fourth in the 800 in the High School. They will both compete together in varsity next year, as Mylee will be a freshman and Ruby will be a senior.

Mylee Wilmes won the 400 with a time of 1:09.34. Ruby was fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:42.88.

In other Northeast Nodaway showings from that day, Hadley DeFreece was sixth in the 100 for the high school girls with a time of 14.49. She was also fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:09.99. The 4x200 Relay Team of Baylie Busby, Jayden Atkins, Sasha Deardorff, and Lauren McIntyre was third with a time of 2:09.07. Baylie Busby was fourth in the High Jump with a height of 4’6”. Jaden Atkins was fifth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 25’2¼”. 

For the junior high girls, the 4x200 Relay Team of Mylee Wilmes, Blair Nelson, Brianna Meyer, and Shyanne Garnett was sixth with a time of 2:02.87. Blair Nelson was second in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’2¾”. 

For the high school boys, Dylan McIntyre was fourth in the 100 with a time of 12.53. Dylan was also second in the 200 with a time of 25.31. He also won the Long Jump with a jump of 17’2¼”. Creed Wilcox was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 40’4¼”. Creed was also fifth in the Discus with a throw of 111’11¾”. 

For the junior high boys, Drew Dack was fourth in the 100 with a time of 13.92. Drew was also third in the 400 with a time of 1:01.47. Reece Gray was third in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’6¼”.
