The Worth County Commission set the speed limit for the stretch on Old 169 from 170th Road to High Street at 35 mph. The road has been a problem stretch with people speeding as much as 70 miles per hour through the junction of High Street and Old 169 and failing to stop. The vote was unanimous.
In addition, the Road & Bridge Crew set up a sharp curve with warning signs and put up a stop sign at the junction of High Street and Old 169 to deter speeders.
