Two people were injured in a three car wreck two miles north of Maryville Friday evening at around 5:23 pm. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2018 GMC Acadia driven by Marissa Saville (26) of Elmo and a 2013 Toyota Sienna driven by Mary Cox (38) of Tarkio were stopped at a stoplight on Route 71 two miles north of Maryville when a 2003 Lincoln Towncar driven by Beverly Russell (93) of Tarkio, which the Patrol says was following too closely, failed to see the stopped vehicles and struck the Sienna in the rear. The Sienna then struck the GMC in the rear. Russell received moderate injuries, while a 10 year old passenger in one of the vehicles received minor injuries. Both were taken to Mosaic in Maryville.
