North Harrison’s Junior High Shamrock girls were edged out by three points at the HDC Meet in Bethany Thursday. Tri-County won with 102 team points. North Harrison had 99, Gilman City 50, Mercer 50, Winston 45, Grundy County 29, and East Harrison 1.
Deva Wallace was fifth in the 100 with a time of 15.45. Jayliegh Robins kept improving her times in the 200 and 400, winning both events. In the 200, she won handily with a time of 29.67, almost 1.7 seconds ahead of her nearest rival. In the 400, she won by over seven seconds ahead of her nearest rival, getting a time of 1:07.38, a varsity level time. Halle Morgan was fourth in the 1600 with a time of 7:12.93.
The 4x100 team edged out Tri-County by one tenth of a second, getting a time of 1:00.54. The 4x400 team was second with a time of 5:59.82.
Camden Castleberry was fourth in the High Jump with a height of 3’10”. Halle Morgan improved her mark in the Long Jump by over two feet and won with a jump of 12’11”. Deva Wallace was fourth with a jump of 10’8¾”. The Shamrocks were 1-2 in the Triple Jump as Halle Morgan picked up her second first place finish with a jump of 26’4¾”. Camden Castleberry was right behind with a jump of 26’3”.
In the Shot Put, Deva Wallace was second with a throw of 29’9¼”. Baily Briggs was third with a throw of 27’2”. Briggs was fourth in the Discus with a throw of 55’7”.
For the boys, Kamden Robertson was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:10.74. Robertson was sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:47. Robertson was fifth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 23.67.
