Grant City Eatery Now Open for Business

The Grant City Eatery, on the southeast corner of the square, is now open for business. It is located where the former Drifter's Express building and the Healthy U building used to be. They have daily specials including chicken, pulled pork, and meat loafs. They have a salad bar, homemade pie, cakes, and they can serve breakfast all day long.

It is owned and operated by Shari Kayser; she is married to Chuck, who helps her in the kitchen. They have four children. One of them, Jennifer, is working at the Eatery. Shari was from Rockford, IL where she had worked at Panera Bread, a food chain. Daughter Jennifer was a regular at the Worth County Farmers Market last year. Shari had run the Blockton Cafe several years ago; she said that she found out about the building being for sale from Jennifer and that they had been working on it since October. She said that they were planning to open the north side of the building up for private parties and open up a bigger area for customers down the road.
