Stewartsville went to a triangle and two against Colby Wiederholt and Bryce Farnan and Northeast had trouble solving it for the first few minutes of the game as the score was stuck at 2-2 for a long time. Dalton Welch finally threw a long pass to Kevin Stoll at the top of the key for a 3-pointer and Kevin scored off a fast break as Clayton Judd slapped the ball ahead to him to make it 7-2. Seth Francis scored a free throw to make it 7-2, but then with Farnan on the bench getting a breather, Northeast made an 8-0 run in the last 1:04 to go ahead by double digits. Clayton Judd scored off a steal and drive, The General tipped a pass to Colby Wiederholt for the steal and drive, Colby scored off a fast break with the left hand, and then Kevin Stoll got a defensive board and pushed it up the floor and got it to Aaron Patton on the left baseline, who hit a shot as time expired to make it 15-3.
The second quarter was low scoring as Stewartsville cut it to 17-7 off an inside shot from Lafayette Fleeks with 3:52 left, but then Aaron Patton followed his own miss and Dalton Welch scored off a fast break as Colby Wiederholt got a quick outlet to Patton, whose skip pass to Dalton was on the money to make it 21-7. Stewartsville cut it to 21-9, but Kevin Stoll got the hot hand early in the second half and Bryce Farnan added a free throw to make it 26-11 with 6:50 left. Fleeks got a putback for Stewartsville, but Aaron Patton got a steal and then Kevin Stoll hit Patton at the top of the key for a 3-pointer to make it 31-13 with 5:27. Fleeks hit two more free throws, but Colby Wiederholt converted an offensive board into a 3-point play and followed with a steal and then Kevin Stoll threw a long outlet to The General breaking down the floor and the rout was on as Northeast led 38-15.
Stewartsville closed to within 40-19 at the end of the third, but then Bryce Farnan got a putback and Kevin Stoll got a four point play thanks to some good hustle on his and Colby Wiederholt's part. Kevin made the first of two free throws and missed the second, but Colby saved it to Kevin, who was cutting to the basket. Kevin made the bucket and the ensuing free throw and Northeast was up 43-19.
Ty Friend scored off a putback to make it 43-22, but then Kevin Stoll turned a steal into two free throws, Bryce Farnan scored from inside, Aaron Patton scored off another steal, and then Jason Henggeler blocked a shot and The General scooped it up and went in for the layup to give Northeast its largest lead at 54-22 and trigger the running clock
