Seven Pattonsburg students were named to the Student Council for next year. They were Patrick Hartman (President), Alanna Hulet (Vice-President), Anoushka Hedrick (Secretary), Sammi Peterson (Treasurer), Brantley Gardner (Historian), Colton Crone (Parliamentarian), and Josie Shock (Student Council At-Large).
In addition, an amendment to the by-laws, Amendment One, creating an at-large position, passed. That position will allow the office holder to represent the student body as a whole.
The students had great fun with their campaigns. Patrick Hartman ran on a promise to Make the Panthers Great Again. Brantley Gardner’s slogan was, “Don’t Be Sour;” she and her sister, Annabelle, always had smiles on their faces at Panther games last year whether they were winning or losing.
Anoushka Hedrick ran and won as Secretary on a slogan of, “Grow with Anoushka.” She promised better themes for Homecoming and Courtwarming, actually fun dress-up days, more engaging games, and to be an officer who actually listened.
Colton Crone ran on a slogan of, “Vote Wisely.” Josie Shock made up a poster entitled, “6 or 7 reasons to Vote for Josie.” Among them were, “She wants you to know what is going on in your school,” “She is great with words,” “You are her priority.” Sammi Peterson’s slogan was, “Make Good Cents.”
