Courthouse News for September 14th, 2022

On September 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a Brigadier truck driven by Hunter Reid (19) of Bedford was westbound on 390th Street seven miles southeast of Graham when the brakes failed and the truck overturned when Reid was trying to make a turn onto Galaxy Road. Reid received moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic in Maryville.

On September 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle driven by Vanessa Heyde (42) of St. Joseph was northbound on 169 in Gentry County and struck a deer at around 7 am that morning. The vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree. A 10 year old passenger received moderate injuries and was taken to Urgent Care Express in St. Joseph.

On September 7th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Gregory Young (37) of Eagleville alleging DWI.

On September 8th, a Grant City resident reported that a dog has been getting in their trash every morning for the previous two weeks.

On September 9th, a judge dismissed a lawsuit seeking to throw the recreational marijuana measure off the Missouri ballot for this November. The measure would allow adult use of marijuana and expunge nonviolent convictions involving three pounds or less of marijuana.

On September 9th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2017 Ford F-350 driven by Roy Zimmer (34) of Dearborn (MO) and a 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer driven by Ryan Mosley (47) of Excelsior (MN) were both southbound on 169 near Trimble (MO). A 2004 Chevy Impala driven by Charles Bogele (65) of Lathrop was northbound. The Jeep struck the Ford in the rear; the Ford crossed the center line into the direct path of the Impala. The Ford traveled over the top of the Impala and came to rest on its top. The Jeep traveled off the west side, struck a utility pole, and came to rest in a field. Zimmer received moderate injuries. Mosley received minor injuries. Bogele was killed in the wreck.

On September 10th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Reginald Reece (55) of Des Moines in Harrison County on charges of Speeding and No Valid License and a Daviess County Warrant (No Valid License, Speeding).

On September 10th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Austin Colvin (18) of Stanberry in Gentry County on a charge of DWI.

On September 10th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Adam Dredge (42) of Mount Ayr on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault. Bond was set at $300, cash only.

On September 10th, the Leon Police Department arrested Michael Chamberlin (42) of Leon (IA) on a Ringgold County Warrant for Domestic Abuse Assault. Bond was denied.

On September 12th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Lane Murta (39) of Corsicana (TX) alleging Stealing (Felony) and Tampering with Motor Vehicle (Felony). 

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
