Alba Vozmediario Scores 10 as NEN Downs Union Star
Nearly everyone got in on the act Tuesday as Northeast Nodaway’s girls beat Union Star 74-9 as they clinched another winning season while Union Star remained winless again. Madelynn Mattson and Paige West had 12 to lead a balanced attack for the Bluejays. Exchange student Alba Vozmediario was a pleasant surprise for NEN, getting 10 points. Angela Standiford, who just recently returned from a shoulder injury, had a season-high 8. Gerry Runde and Tierney Privett had 8, Makayla Adwell and Anne Schieber 5, Ilenia Ricci 4, and Blair Stoll 2.
