Nobody filed for reelection for Grant City Council for the upcoming April 2023 election according to County Clerk Roberta Owens. Mayor Debbie Roach filed for reelection.
Adam Downing, Amber Monticue, and Michael Mullock filed for school board. They are all incumbents, so there will be no election. Jason Cain and Andy Welch filed for the Ambulance Board. Jim Larson filed for the Worth County Fire Board. Mike Hall and Michael O’Riley filed for the Allendale City Council. Larry Musick filed for the Sheridan City Council. Chevy Davidson and Susan Gladstone Tucker filed for the Nursing Home Board.
The county will have two measures on the ballot this April. The county will run the renewal of their 35 cent levy. This is not a new tax, but the continuation of a temporary levy. The county will offer a 3% sales tax for marijuana sales. This is a new tax and will affect marijuana sales in the county.
