On December 30th, a three year old girl was reported missing from Mount Ayr. On January 6th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation issued an Endangered Person Advisory for her. Later that day, she was found safe in Missouri.
On January 1st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Jacob Wooten (30) of Burlington Junction alleging Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Hunting from a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Hunting from Public Roadway, Hunting with Artificial Light, Hunting with Illegal Firearm, Hunting Without Permit, and Hunting Deer in Closed Season. Bond was set at $30,000 cash or corporate surety, posted by the defendant.
On January 3rd, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department received a report of destruction of property. Officers located a vehicle that matched the witness’s description. The Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Robert Kibbe Jr. (67) of Mount Ayr on charges of DWI and Criminal Mischief. Bond was set at $1,300, cash or corporate surety.
On January 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Kevin Trimble (42) of Albany alleging DWI (Felony) and No Insurance. Bond was set at $10,000, cash or surety.
On January 3rd, a Maryville woman reported that a scammer was posting fake Daylight Donuts giveaways on Facebook.
On January 4th, a Worth woman reported that someone ran over her son’s dog and left the scene.

On January 5th, a Maryville woman reported that she and her two daughters were in the Maryville Wal-Mart when they were followed around the store by two men.
On January 5th, FOX Sports and multiple other news outlets reported that former Chiefs runningback Peyton Hillis was in critical condition after saving his kids from drowning from a Florida ocean. The Chiefs have had this kind of tragedy before. In 1983, Joe Delaney, their star runningback, drowned while attempting to save three children from drowning. For his actions, President Ronald Reagan posthumously awarded Delaney the Presidential Citizens Medal. President Reagan said, “He made the ultimate sacrifice by placing the lives of three children above regard for his own safety. By the supreme example of courage and compassion, this brilliantly gifted young man left a spiritual legacy for his fellow Americans.”
On January 6th, Michelle Grady was arrested in Harrison County on an out of state warrant.

On January 9th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2003 Kia Sorrento driven by Donna Younglove (80) was southbound on Route 113 one mile north of Quitman at 4:45 pm when she crested a hill, had her vision obstructed by the sun, traveled off the west side of the roadway, crossed the center line, and off the east side. Younglove received minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic in Maryville.

On January 10th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Christi Brown (32) of Maryville alleging two counts Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), DWI, Failure to Register, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Insurance.
On January 10th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Jacob Zuidema (33) of Maryville alleging DWI and Failure to Display Two Headlamps.
