Courthouse News for January 4th, 2023

On December 25th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Ronald Ury (55) of Blythedale alleging Child Molestation (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000, cash only.

On December 25th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Cheryl Simmons (55) of Eagleville alleging Domestic Assault (Felony). Bond was set at $5,000, with the defendant released on their own recognizance.

On December 27th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Julius Hall (63) of Minneapolis (MN) in Harrison County on charges of DWI and Speeding.

On December 27th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against William Zawila (39) of Fennville (MI) alleging Passing a Bad Check (Felony).

On December 28th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2010 Ford Edge driven by Debra Tilley (58) of Bethany was westbound on 136 two miles east of Albany when she crossed the center line, traveled off the south side into a ditch, and struck a culvert. Tilley received minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic in Albany.

On December 28th, Special Prosecutor Tara Cluck filed charges against David Granger (35) of Albany in Gentry County alleging Non-Support (Felony).

On December 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Randy Randle (53) of Cainsville alleging No Valid License (Felony) and Careless & Imprudent Driving.

On December 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Richard Dreher (63) of Plattsburg alleging Domestic Assault.

On December 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Waneta Combs (42) of Maryville alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Revoked, No Insurance, and No Plates.

On December 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against David Morriss (36) of Guilford alleging Resisting Arrest (Felony).

On December 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Alex Parrott (20) of Clarinda alleging 3 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device.

On December 29th, Brit Fisher was struck by a vehicle on 246 east of Sheridan and killed. (Page 1)

On December 29th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Nancy Westbrook (60) of Lathrop in Gentry County on charges of DWI (Felony), Driving While Suspended, Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), and a Clinton County Warrant (Driving Under the Influence of Liquor).

On December 29th, a Bethany woman reported that while she was stopped at a stop light waiting for a cop with lights and sirens activated, someone honked and cursed at her.

On December 30th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department received a call from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office regarding a 911 call from Colt Thompson (38) of Mount Ayr. Thompson was southbound on 230th Avenue south of Mount Ayr when he swerved to miss a deer and ran off the road into a ditch and tree line. The Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Thompson on a charge of DWI and taken to the Ringgold County Jail. The vehicle was totaled in the accident.

On December 30th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Richard Deuel (47) of Bethany alleging Domestic Assault (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000, cash only.

On December 30th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Nancy Westbrook (61) of Lathrop alleging DWI, Driving While Revoked, and Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). Bond was set at $1,000, cash only.

On December 30th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Maxwell Howig (37) of Lawrence (KS) alleging Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, Speeding, DWI, and No Insurance.

On December 30th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Deborah Groce (73) of King City alleging No Valid License (Felony).

On December 31st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Kevin Coburn (51) of Ravenwood alleging Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony) and Harassment (Felony). Bond was set at $500, cash only.

On January 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Travis Miller (20) of McFall alleging DWI, Minor in Possession, Speeding, and No Seat Belt.

On January 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Lisa Lively (50) of Stanberry alleging DWI (Felony, Physical Injury) and Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. 

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
