Obituary -- Richard Force 1941-2022

Richard Force, age 81, Skidmore, Missouri, formerly of Parnell, Missouri, died Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Maryville Living Center, Maryville, Missouri.

Albert Richard Force was born January 28, 1941, in Benton, Iowa.  He was the son of the late Albert and Vera May (Downing) Force.

Richard attended Grant City R-I school, Grant City.  

Richard was united in marriage to Marilyn Kay Frampton.  To this union two daughters were born Patty and Connie.

Richard had worked as a farm hand for many farmers in the area.  He also worked at Livestock Sale Barns in Red Oak, Lamoni, Bedford and Mt. Ayr, Iowa as well as St. Joseph, Maryville and Grant City, Missouri.  

Richard was good friends with Larry Mahan, former, Pro Rodeo 6 time World All-Around Champion and 2 time bull riding World Champion.

Richard was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Redding, Iowa.  He also was a member of the Worth County Sheriff’s Posse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn (October 7, 2008), and brothers Donnie, Ronnie and Charles.

His survivors include: two daughters Patty (Jeff Dishong) Force, Skidmore, Connie (Terry) McMichael, Maryville, one sister Linda Anthony, Grant City, Missouri, one brother Robert Force, Rice, Texas, four grandchildren Jennifer (Steve) Hendrix, Daphne (Max) McMichael, April McMichael, Austin McMichael, four great-grandchildren April Carneo, David Hendrix, Robert, James and Noah Hedglin, David Hendrix and a host of other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Andrews-Hann Funeral Chapel, Grant City, with cremation afterward. Pastor Len Green officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Luteston Cemetery, Sheridan, Missouri.  Memorial:  Luteston Cemetery
