A Tarkio man was killed in a wreck Tuesday evening at around 5:17 pm after his pickup struck a semi. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2000 Peterbilt 379 driven by Icics Vandevere (20) of Rock Port and a 2001 Ford F150 driven by Scott Price (63) of Tarkio were both eastbound on Route 136 in eastern Rock Port city limits. The Patrol says the semi slowed to make a left turn into a private drive when the front of the pickup struck the rear of the semi, skidded off the south side of Route 136, and came to rest in a ditch. Price was killed in the accident, while Vandevere received minor injuries.
