Obituary -- Madonna Carroll 1937-2021

Madonna Earlann (Arnold) Carroll, 84, Stanberry, MO passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry, MO.

She was born on May 7, 1937 the daughter of Earl and Carmeta (Sharp) Arnold in Stanberry, Missouri.

Madonna married LeRoy Carroll at the First Baptist Church in Stanberry on Nov. 6, 1955.  He survives of the home.  They spent the early years of their life together in Kansas City and later relocated back to the Stanberry area in 1968.

Madonna worked for 27 years as a deputy clerk in the Circuit Clerk and Recorders Office at the Gentry County Courthouse in Albany.  She took great pride in her job and working with the public.  Her colleagues at the courthouse were one of her greatest treasures.

Some of Madonna’s happiest times were spent playing with her grandchildren, following Stanberry R-II football and basketball teams, and vacationing with LeRoy-especially visiting her favorite state of Colorado.  She was a die-hard Chiefs fan, excellent taco maker and lover of ice cream.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carleta Arnold Foreman and brother, Earl L. Arnold.

Survivors include her husband, LeRoy; daughter, LeDonna McIntosh (Chuck) and son, Bryan Carroll (Lynn); five grandchildren, Bren McIntosh Duvall (Pell), Clif McIntosh (Amanda), Lindsey Wood (Robert), Megan Wiederholt (Colby), and Mitch Carroll (Kiera); and seven great-grandchildren, Indigo Duvall, Georgia McIntosh, Adyson and Hensley Wood, Brayden Cully, Jansen Wiederholt, and Lucas Carroll.

Madonna has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 17 at the First Baptist Church, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. Inurnment will be at a later date in High Ridge Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16 at the church. Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed at all events. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stanberry First Baptist Church in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
