Courthouse News for November 4th, 2020

 On October 19th, Kyle Fisher, the attorney representing Jeremiah Searles in the Harrison County cases involving charges of Kidnapping, Domestic Assault, and Child Abuse, filed a motion to withdraw as Searles’ attorney. On October 22nd, Judge Thomas Alley granted that request.

On October 26th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Scott Wilkinson (59) of Grant City in Worth County on charges of DWI (Felony), Driving While Revoked, and No Seat Belt.

On October 27th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Matthew Rounds (43) of Darlington alleging two counts Domestic Assault (Felony).

On October 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Lincoln Pope (19) of Pickering alleging two counts Class 4 Election Offenses. 

On October 29th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Donna Eiberger (67) of Stanberry alleging Sexual Conduct With a Resident. Northwest Mo Info reports that the charges arose after electronic communications were observed by law enforcement which were allegedly of a sexually explicit nature between the defendant and a resident of Rolling Hills Creative Living.

On October 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Bradford Boyer (20) of Kent (IA) alleging DWI, Minor Visibly Intoxicated, and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.

On October 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Christopher Sportsman (41) of Graham alleging two counts Child Abuse (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000, cash or corporate surety. Northwest Mo Info reports that the charges arose after the defendant was filmed confronting a 15 year old boy over a bad grade received at school. The defendant allegedly strangled the boy, struck the sides of his head, and threw him to the floor, where the boy hit his head and sustained a concussion.

On October 29th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Jeremiah Watts (44) of Harrisonville (MO) in Harrison County on a Clinton County Warrant (Careless & Imprudent Driving). 

On October 29th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Jeremy Foster (29) of Grant City alleging Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device.

On October 30, 2020 at 7:30 pm the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle north east of Diagonal. The vehicle was followed by a citizen who was able to give the vehicles location to the responding deputy. The vehicle was stopped at J23 and 220th avenue. The defendant, Nicholas Bryan Crenshaw age 33 of Afton, was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant from Union County (Possession of Amphetamine) and was released to the Union County Sheriff’s Office. 

On October 30th, a change of venue was received by Harrison County from Sullivan County. Sullivan County Prosecutor Brian Keedy filed charges against Makuya Kambanba (28) of Kirksville alleging two counts Murder (Felony), two counts Manslaughter (Felony), and Child Abuse (Felony). 

On October 30th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Daniel Stevens (36_ of Bethany alleging Rape (Felony).      

On the night of October 30th or the morning of the 31st, a woman who was visiting in Blythedale had her car stolen.

On October 31st, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Trina Seeley (21) of Darlington alleging Stealing. 

On October 31st, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Clayton McKune (18) of Stanberry alleging Burglary (Felony), three counts Receiving Stolen Property (1 Felony), and Minor in Possession. 

On November 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Todd Corbett (31) of Ravenwood on charges of DWI, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, and No Insurance.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
