Courthouse News for February 26th, 2020

On February 15th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Kyle Cline (35) of Albany alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and two counts Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $4,950, cash only.
On February 16th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested William Powell (62) of Diagonal on charges of Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On February 16th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Caleb Salmon (29) of Bethany alleging Stealing (Felony).
On February 16th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Phillip Buchite (38) of Bethany alleging Stealing (Felony) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony).
On February 16th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Travis Baker (35) of Ridgeway alleging No Insurance.
On February 17th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Nicole Still (46) of Maryville alleging DWI.
On February 17th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Anthony Pina (19) of Kansas City alleging No Valid License.
On February 17th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Richard George (69) of Westboro alleging Peace Disturbance.
On February 18th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Robert Randall (57) of New Hampton in Harrison County on charges of DWI and Following Too Closely.
On February 18, 2020, Deputies were called to the Bedford High School for a report of possible illegal substances being possessed on the premises. K9 Ciba arrived on scene and was deployed and gave a positive indication to the odor of illegal substance on a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of the school. A subsequent search was conducted and marijuana along with paraphernalia was located. As a result of the search, Ashlyn Pitman, 18, of Bedford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On February 19th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Carla Hines (57) of Barnard alleging Failure to Register.
On February 19th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Ashley Rhynes (31) of Sheridan alleging Speeding.
On February 19th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Sukheep Singh (24) of Bakersfield (CA) alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).
On February 19th, Special Prosecutor Myra Stout filed charges against Christopher McClellan (31) of Dittmer (MO) alleging Non-Support (Felony).
On February 20th, Special Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Brandon Allee (25) of Sheridan in Worth County alleging Animal Abuse.
On February 20th, CNN reports that an Idaho woman, Lori Vallow (46) in conjunction with the disappearance of her two children, who have been missing for five months. She was charged with Desertion of a Child, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Officers, Solicitation of a Crime, and Contempt of Court. She had allegedly fled from Idaho to Hawaii after remarrying after police had started asking questions about her two missing children.
On February 20th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Joshua Hutton (29) of Cainsville alleging DWI, Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), and Driving While Revoked.

On February 20th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Trevor Bradley (17) of Ridgeway alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).
On February 20th  at 6:15 p.m. David L Moffitt Jr., age 44 of Mount Ayr, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana. He was then transported to the Ringgold County Jail.
On February 21st, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Ryan Wiley (38) of Ridgeway alleging Domestic Assault (Felony) and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony).
On February 21st, Baillie Dickenson (29) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty to Assault on an Infant Child and Making a False Statement to an Officer. KQ2 reports that it was in conjunction when an incident in which she had allegedly squeezed her child into her chest too hard, causing serious injuries; she then allegedly made a false statement to a law enforcement officer by stating that her 16 month old child had fallen on them.
On February 22nd, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Chad Service (36) of Bethany alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Leaving the Scene (Felony).
On February 23rd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Jacob Poulos (32) of Geneseo (IL) on charges of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident) and DWI.
On February 23rd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Alexzander Totton (22) of Florissant (MO) in Harrison County on charges of Following Too Closely and a Clark County Warrant (Speeding).
On February 23rd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Christian Binder (20) of St. Louis in Harrison County on charges of Possession of Ecstasy (Felony), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Charges were subsequently filed on February 24th by Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer.
On February 24th, Special Prosecutor Barbara Klima filed charges against Randall Peak (35) of King City in Gentry County alleging Non-Support.
On February 24th, Special Prosecutor Barbara Klima filed charges against Justin Pruitt (29) of Coffey in Gentry County alleging Non-Support (Felony).
On February 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Zakery Hulsing (20) of Maryville alleging Minor in Possession and Misrepresentation of Age to Purchase Liquor.
On February 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Kevin Giesken (56) of Burlington Junction alleging No Valid License and Failure to Drive on Right Half (Accident).
On February 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Sean Watson (25) of Ravenwood alleging No Valid License and No Tail Lamps.
On February 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Russel Guy (27) of Winnemucca (NV) alleging DWI and Failure to Drive on Right Half.
On February 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Nicholas Wolf (28) of Guilford alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident) and Leaving the Scene.
On February 25th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Cherish Kridler (40) of Maryville alleging Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony).
On February 25th, a Federal Judge sentenced James Patrick Pardee to 15 years in prison for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering. He was ordered to forfeit $2.1 million. Northwest Mo Info reports that he had allegedly distributed $2.1 million worth of methamphetamine in Buchanan County, Clinton County, and Nodaway County between January 2015 and November 2017.
On February 25th, Christopher Evans (27) of St. Joseph was sentenced to 3 years in prison for Making a Terrorist Threat. KQ2 reports that on September 20th, 2019, he had allegedly made two threats to Altec Industries about a bomb threat at its facility. Five days later, he allegedly phoned into the St. Joseph Police Department threatening to shoot everyone coming from the building. Investigators were able to trace the phone call.
On February 25th, the St. Joseph Police Department arrested Xavier Cruz on a charge of Second Degree Assault after he stole a Ford Expedition, fled from an officer, ran a stop sign, and collided with another vehicle, injuring the driver. Bond was denied.
Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
