Courthouse News for July 3rd, 2019

Nathan Teeters, 43, of Bedford, was arrested on June 25, 2019, at the intersection of Highland and Highway 2 by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. He was wanted on an active Adams County warrant for failure to appear. Teeters was transferred to Adams County to be held on $1,000 bond. Teeters was additionally cited for Driving While License Suspended, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, and Speeding.

On June 25th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Nikolas Ricks (23) of Warrensburg and Lance Williams (39) of Des Moines alleging No Valid Driver’s License.

On June 25th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Daniel Chinn (30) of Maryville alleging No Insurance.

On June 25th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Ciara White (28) of Maitland alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (accident).

On June 26th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Michael Johnson (23) of Savannah alleging Escape from Custody (Felony).

On June 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against William Madison (34) of Bethany alleging Nonconsensual Dissemination of Sexual Images (Felony).

On June 26th, Special Prosecutor Myra Stout filed charges against Spencer Oliver (36) of Bethany in Harrison County alleging Non-Support (Felony).

On June 26th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Dusty Bebout (31) of New Market alleging No Valid License.

On June 26th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Kali Cameron (24) of Allendale alleging Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior), No Seat Belt, and Failure to Register.

On June 26th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Wade Adams alleging Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior) and No Seat Belt.

Justin Sybert of Clarinda was arrested at the intersection of 200th St. and Kirkwood Ave. in Gravity on June 26, 2019. He was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense. He is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $1,000 cash bond.

On June 26, 2019, the Taylor County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit was called to a residence in the 400 block of Dodge Street in Bedford. K9 Ciba indicated to the presence of narcotic substances and Deputies made the following arrests: Elmer Harwell, 44, of Bedford, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Harwell is being held on $4,300 bond. Cynthia Butler, 36, of Bedford, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Butler is being held on $2,300 bond.

On June 26th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Tyrell Stucker (23) of Orient (IA) alleging Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On June 26th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Brandi Lawrence (19) of Maryville alleging Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On June 26th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Amber Dorman (40) of Savannah alleging Unlawful Possession, Transport, Manufacture, Repair, or Sale or Illegal Weapon, No Valid License, and Failure to Stop.

On June 26th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Timothy Westcott (58) of Skidmore alleging Driving While Revoked (2nd or 3rd Offense) and No Tail Light.

On the night of June 26th, an Allendale resident reported on Facebook that her white 2001 Chevy Malibu was stolen.

On June 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Matthew Burel (46) of Zachary (LA) alleging Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $20,000.

On June 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Rachel Mossman (41) of Peculiar (MO) alleging Driving While Revoked.

On June 27th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Faruk Ibrahimovic (43) of Des Moines alleging No Insurance.

Nodaway County deputies responded to a domestic violence call on the morning of June 28th in the Tri-C area of the county. During the course of the investigation, Deputy McDonald, Deputy Riley, and Detective Cochenour took into custody a male suspect who the Sheriff’s Department says was a convicted felon and who was in possession of a firearm. A search warrant was issued for a storage locker used by the suspect this afternoon. Deputies recovered approximately 5 pounds of marijuana. Of this, sixty, one ounce bags, were packaged individually. A set of digital scales was seized with the marijuana. This case will be forwarded to Prosecuting Attorney Rice for consideration of criminal charges. On June 29th, Prosecutor Rice charged Larry Don Scott (61) of Conception Junction with Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office says Scott was prohibited from firearm possession due to a 2011 conviction of Aggravated DWI (Felony). Bond was set at $35,000.

On June 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Jeremiah Holmes (22) of Maryville alleging Driving While Revoked, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Plates Belonging to Another.

On June 28th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Joey McClintock (22) of Lamoni in Harrison County on a Harrison County Warrant for Failure to Appear (No Valid License) and No Valid License (2nd Offense).

On June 29th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Kaiden Vance (20) of Skidmore in Nodaway County alleging Minor in Possession and Vision Reducing Material on Vehicle.

On June 29th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Kenneth Henderson (60) of Coffey alleging DWI (Aggravated, Felony) and Failure to Stop.

On June 30th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Francis Bonor (51) of Eagleville alleging Stealing (Felony) and Manufacture, Sale, or Shipping Fireworks Without Permit.

On July 1st, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against John Gregory (66) of Greensboro (NC) alleging Stealing ($25,000 or more, Felony). Bond was set at $110,000, cash only.
On July 1st, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Dustin Chambers (43) of Albany alleging Passing a Bad Check (Felony).

On July 1st, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against James Sowards (85) of Stanberry alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident) and No Seat Belt.

On July 1st, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Katerina Eskridge (47) of Albany alleging DWI.

On July 1st, the Maryville Department of Public Safety reported that a scammer was impersonating Father Albert of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and asking for Google Play Gift Cards. In addition, scammers are impersonating priests in the Kansas City area as well.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
