Larry E. Proctor, 72, Savannah, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019. He was born February 11, 1947 in Grant City, Missouri to Cecil and Geneva (Allison) Proctor.
He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1965. Larry retired from Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) and Missouri Air National Guard.
Larry was married to Shirley Maudlin for 40 years. She preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents Cecil and Geneva Proctor and sister Shirley.
On July 25, 2008 Larry was united in marriage to Susan J. Gill. She survives of the home. Also surviving are his children: Shelly (Terry) Baker, Veronica (Jeff) Vendleboe and son James Chris (Lori) Proctor and Susan’s children: Jerry (Loretta) Gill, Penny (Mike Ramsel) and Charley Gill. 19 grandchildren: Logan, Jared, Cortney, Alec, Jordan, Sidney, Abigail, Colton, Evan, Candace, Eric, Charles R., Rachael, Robert, McKayla, Julie, Shelby, Lacey and Joseph, 13 great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Calhoun; two brothers: Jim and Steve Proctor and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Larry enjoyed trout fishing at Bennett Springs and wintering in Texas. He was a handy man for anyone who needed help. His family know Papa’s little birdie will be watching over us.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri. Interment will be in the Grant City Cemetery in Grant City. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church, 5502 Frederick Avenue in St. Joseph, Missouri.
