Work to the bridge on Route JJ over the One Hundred and Two River just west of Hopkins is now open. Contractors from Widel, Inc. of Blackwater, Missouri, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, were able to reopen the bridge to all traffic today. The bridge had been closed since Tuesday, April 12, 2016, for a bridge deck replacement project. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists and local residents during this necessary closure.
Some work off the driving surface may still occur, construction vehicles may still be present and workers may be working close to the roadway. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
