Judith Matteson Honored for Ten Years of Volunteer Service

On May 19, 2016, the Worth County R-III High School Student Council honored Judith Matteson for over ten years of volunteer service to the school district by creating the Judith Matteson Volunteer Service Award.

“Miss Matteson serves our school in so many areas – the library, Tiger Club, the Educational Foundation, and Alumni,” said Superintendent Matthew Martz. “Wherever we have a need, if she is available, Judith will be there to help.”

“We are so thankful for everything that Miss Matteson does for our school.  We thought creating this award in her name would remind students in the future of her contributions,” said Kenna LaFollette, Student Council President.

The student council will select one volunteer each year to recognize in the spring of the school year.  They will seek nominations from the community at the beginning of the second semester.

Each awardee will have their name added to the plaque and receive a certificate of appreciation.
