Two Teens Seriously Injured, Lifeflighted to Kansas City

Two teens were seriously injured in a wreck today (June 2nd) near Maryville at around 12:01 pm and were lifeflighted to Children's Mercy in Kansas City. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2003 Ford F-250 driven by Dustin Verbick (16) of Maryville was southbound on Katydid Road south of 136 three miles east of Maryville. Maverick Price (15) of Parnell was a passenger in the vehicle. Verbick lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the south side of the roadway and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing northwest. Verbick received serious injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, from which he was lifeflighted to Children's Mercy in Kansas City. Price was also taken to St. Francis, where he was lifeflighted to Children's Mercy. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
