WCCC Getting Facelift

The Worth County Convalescent Center is getting a facelift, with changes that will improve the appearance and functionality of the resident rooms. Currently, the facility is doing a room on the east wing; after board members look at the room and discuss it, other rooms will be redone as well. Ultimately, the goal is to redo all of the rooms. A construction crew led by Charlie Morin is doing the work.
In addition, plans are being made to redo the flooring and carpeting in the halls as well as the main lobby.
The sinks will be moved out of the way and the windows and countertops will be redone. There will be flat screen TV’s that can be seen from different places in the rooms and there will be new lighting and ceiling fans for more climate control. Closets will be made larger so that there will be more storage space.
The resident floors will be redone and replace with new vinyl floors that look like wood and that will give the rooms a more home-like appearance. Two rooms have already been redone.
