Five Northwest Missouri bridges are now open following replacement through the Fixing Access to Rural Missouri (FARM) Bridge program. Contractors from Lehman-Wilson, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation through a design-build contract, were able to reopen the below bridges:
Chariton County Route D over Clark Branch.
Gentry County Route T over Brushy Creek.
Harrison County Route D over Ames Creek.
Sullivan County Route C over Yellow Creek.
Worth County Route A over Branch.
The contractor is currently working to complete the last Northwest Missouri bridge included in the project on Gentry County Route T over Fitzgerald Branch. This bridge is expected to be reopened in mid-October 2023.
The FARM Bridge Program has replaced deļ¬cient bridges on low-volume routes that are:
Weight-restricted
In poor condition
On timber pile
One-lane but carry two-way traffic
The full list of bridges to be replaced can be found on the FARM Bridge program web page.
