Weekly Area Road Work for September 20th, 2023

Gentry County

Route YY – CLOSED until further notice at the Bear Creek Bridge due to deterioration. This bridge is included in a replacement project scheduled to be a part of the September 2023 letting for contractor bids. https://www.modot.org/atchison-and-gentry-counties-bridge-replacements

Route T – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Fitzgerald Creek Bridge through mid-November.*1

Route J – CLOSED in 2-mile segments for a resurfacing project Sept. 18-19. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

Harrison County

Route NN – CLOSED in 2-mile segments for a resurfacing project Sept. 19-23. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

Nodaway County

Route VV – CLOSED for bridge maintenance at the bridge over the Platte River, Sept. 18-22, around the clock.

Route AD – Pavement repair from 130th Street to 140th Street, Sept. 20

Route YY – CLOSED for pavement repairs from Route C to Almond Road, Sept. 21, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ringgold County

Route 169 – CLOSED due to State Line Bridge construction between Grant City and Redding. 

Route P27 – Road closed except for local traffic north of Redding to Route 2. Bridge construction.

Route 169 Detours from Grant City

–To get to Mount Ayr, go east on 46 to Allendale, north on Route T to the Iowa State Line. Route T will become Route P38, and will merge with 169.

–To get to Blockton, go west on 46 to Route F and the Iowa State Line. Route F will become Tay Gold Avenue. To get to Redding, go east on J55 when you reach Blockton. To get to Creston, go north when you reach Blockton to Route 25. Turn right when you reach 34.

–To get to Lenox, go west on 46 and 246 to Sheridan. Take H north to the Iowa State Line. Route H will become N56. Turn right on Route 2 until you reach N64. If you reach 25, you’ve gone too far. Take N64 north to Lenox.

Taylor County

Route 148 – Construction, bridge work from Bedford to Corning. Pilot car, flaggers in operation.

Worth County

U.S. Route 169 – CLOSED at the Iowa state line for a bridge reconstruction project by Iowa DOT, through September. (Contractor: Gus Construction)

Route 246 – Pothole patching, Sept. 18-22

Route Z – Pothole patching, Sept. 18-22

Route B – Pothole patching, Sept. 18-22
