On Wednesday, July 12th, the Missouri Department of Transportation released the five year Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. The tentative schedule will cover projects from July 1st, 2023 through June 30th, 2028.
For the local area, the following projects are listed:
Gentry County
Route 136 – Pavement resurfacing from Stanberry to 0.7 miles east of Route 169 and from 0.6 miles east of Route C in Albany to Route 13 near Bethany. Award date November 2023.
Route B – Bridge rehabilitation in Gentry and Worth Counties. Project includes three bridges. Award date 2024.
Route YY – Bridge replacement over Bear Creek 1.8 miles north of Route 169 near Gentry. Award date September 2023.
Harrison County
Interstate 35 – Pavement reconstruction from Iowa State Line to Eagleville. Award date 2027.
Interstate 35 – Pavement preservation treatment from Eagleville to Bethany. Award date July 2023.
Interstate 35 – Job order contracting for pavement repair from the Iowa State Line to the Clay County Line. Award date May 2024.
Route 69 – Bridge replacement over Zadie Branch north of Eagleville one mile west of I-35. Award date May 2027.
Route N – Bridge rehabilitation over East Fork Big Creek between Eagleville and Blythedale. Award date 2028.
Nodaway County
Route 136 – Pavement resurfacing from Route 46 south of Ravenwood to Route J east of Conception. Award date 2024.
Route 71 – Pavement resurfacing from the Iowa State Line to Route 148 north of Maryville. Award date 2026.
Route F – Bridge rehabilitation on various routes in Gentry, Harrison, Nodaway, and Worth Counties in 2026.
Various Routes – Pavement resurfacing on Routes NN, AH, WW, AB, JJ, N, and V in 2024.
Route VV – Bridge replacement over Platte River 0.4 mile west of Route AH near Conception Junction. Award date 2025.
Worth County
Route 169 – Bridge rehabilitation over Middle Fork 2.3 miles south of Grant City. Award date 2027.
Route 169 – Pavement resurfacing from the Iowa State Line to Route 46. Award date September 2023.
Route 46 – Bridge replacement over Marlowe Branch and West Fork Grand River. Award date 2024.
The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program includes $14 billion in state and federal revenues over the next five years. The plan includes 103 different projects for the Northwest District.
