On July 1st, at 3:07 am, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department says that 2008 Chevy Impala LT driven by Jaycob Waske (43) was westbound on J55, a road open only to local traffic due to construction. The Patrol says Waske ignored signs indicating a one foot roadway dropoff, struck the bridge deck at a high rate of speed, totaling the vehicle and damaging the construction. Waske was charged with Interference with Official Acts, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device, and Leaving the Scene. Both he and a passenger, Joshua Waske (45) of Mount Ayr (IA) were transported to Ringgold County Hospital and later to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines due to injuries. Bond was set at $300, cash only.
On July 4th, the Worth County Ambulance was called to the Allendale Fourth of July Breakfast, where someone was in need of medical assistance.
On July 4th, a 2018 Polaris driven by Scott Hall (38) of Bethany was northbound on West 211th Lane three miles south of Bethany at around 12:08 pm. The Polaris went off the east side of the roadway, skidded, struck a rock, and returned to the roadway. The driver overcorrected, and the Polaris traveled off the east side, struck an embankment, and overturned. Hall was ejected and killed. A passenger, Maggie Hall (31) of Bethany, received minor injuries. A 1 year old girl, another passenger, received moderate injuries.
On July 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Guy Oracvec (61) of Grant City alleging two counts Assault (Felony).

On July 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Edward Cleveland (51) of Grant City alleging Assault (Felony) and Property Damage (Felony).
On July 7th, Governor Mike Parson appointed Steven Hudson of Trenton as Presiding Judge of the 3rd Judicial Circuit. The appointment was made following the death of Judge Thomas Alley. Hudson previously served as the Associate Circuit Judge of Grundy County.
On July 7th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against James Elliott (57) of Grant City alleging Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony) and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony).
On July 9th, Northwest Mo Info reported that Mercer County received a 911 call around 11 pm after someone heard yells for help north of their property. Two individuals were in a nearby river, unable to get out. A man was located immediately and rescued, while a woman was found a quarter of a mile down the river and rescued an hour and a half later. Neither were injured.
On July 9th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Keelan Osentowski (22) of York (NB) in Nodaway County on charges of DWI and Speeding.
Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
