A 15 year old girl from Maryville was injured in a wreck five miles north of Maryville Saturday morning at around 11:35 am. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1999 Mercury Sable driven by Dakota Wray (18) of Hopkins was southbound on Fairway Road and a 2017 Nissan Sentra driven by Frederick Creamer (36) of Maryville was eastbound on Route 71 past Wilcox, right before Route 71 cuts north to go to Burlington Junction, Clearmont, and the Iowa state line. The Patrol says the Sable failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled into the path of the Nissan, striking it in the rear. The 15 year old girl, a passenger in the Wray vehicle, received moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic. Wray and Creamer were not injured in the wreck.
