Tiger Boys Ranked for First Time Since 1995-96

Worth County's boys were ranked in the state this week for the first time since the 1995-96 season, when their 21-win team was ranked at one point. The Tigers are ranked seventh. The boys beat Jefferson for the first time since that season, 52-50. It was done in the same building they did it in last time, as both wins were in the Albany Tournament. Jefferson was coached at the time by Hall of Fame Coach Don Edwards, while current Coach Tim Jermain was still the skipper for Albany's boys. The Tigers also played a tough game against Stanberry before bowing to the defending state champions, and also dismantled South Nodaway 86-23.
