NEN Girls Denied Third Place

Northeast Nodaway’s girls were denied third place at the Platte Valley Invitational Friday as they fell hard to Stewartsville 57-25. Northeast had every reason to expect a victory, but all hell broke loose in the first quarter as Stewartsville scored 20 unanswered points in the first quarter and crusied on to victory. Gerry Runde had 15 to pace Northeast, along with two 3-pointers. Makayla Adwell had 8, and Jana Walker had 2.
