Frank Alva Downey was born July 28, 1937 in Sandy River, Oregon to George and Deva (Miller) Downey. He passed away October 9, 2016 at the Worth County Convalescent Center in Grant City, Missouri at the age of 79.
Frank married Merna Beers on June 30, 1979. They farmed near Grant City. She survives of the home in Grant City.
Also surviving step children: Dan Stark of Leon, Iowa, Richard Stark of Casper, Wyoming; 2 step grandchildren; Cody and Stacy, and 2 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Myrlin Downey and sister Kathyrn Ruth Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri.

Sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Frank was a lifetime friend who always had time to visit. He was a good and loyal employee on the Worth County Road and Bridge crew. Even in poor health he was tough and had a good sense of humor. Frank will be missed by his many friends and family.
