The Hopkins Community Betterment Association met Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., in the basement of the Hopkins Christian Church. Judy and Don Crane surprised Donna Spalding with a retirement celebration of cake and ice cream. President, Donna Spalding called the meeting to order.
The Association plans to have a third annual Barn Quilt Festival September 16 and 17, 2017. A flea market will be added to this event.
The Ball Association will lunch the Harold Christy auction, October 9. The proceeds will go towards the Walking Trail and the Ball Fields Fence Project.
The Missouri Community Betterment Fall Conference will be October 23 and 24, 2016, in Columbia.
The next meeting will be November 2.
