Mustang Power Lift Draws 110 Athletes, Record Number

The Mustang Power Lift, held on Saturday, drew a record number of participants, around 110 from around the area. Students from as far as Shenandoah, Mid-Buchanan, and Clinton County (MO) came. Local athletes did well, with Dakota Smyser winning a couple of first place medals. There was a competition for girls as well; Alisha Davison won some medals on the girls side for North Nodaway. North Nodaway's students have measured up well over the years since it was started, winning outright in 2014. It turned out to be a precursor to hanging up their first banner on the wall in seven years, winning Districts that year after cooping with West Nodaway.
