Monday was a very busy day here. It was Glamour Shot Day. We had several helpers and it kept us all busy. Larry and Vicky Murphy were our photographers, Rita Glenn and Shirley Calhoon manned the make-up and hair finishing tables, Alberta Verbick and Doris Owens helped with outfitting and accessories, Peggy Miller helped in all areas as needed. Staff member Nikki Harker came in and helped out. David and Jozy Moyer loaned us backdrops and equipment.
Tuesday morning we had Resident Council Meeting, The residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the decision making process for their home. In the afternoon Virginia lead games, as the Pinkertons were unable to be here.
Wednesday morning after care plans the WCCC Auxiliary met they discussed upcoming events and reported on past projects. In the afternoon we had our weekly Bingo games. Each resident Bingo’s three times. We serve refreshments and visit after the games.
Thursday morning Don and Lois Null led the Bible Study for the Methodist Church. In the afternoon we had our scheduled game time. The residents chose to play dominoes and pitch.
Friday morning was coffee time, we talked about the snow flurries this morning. So residents chose to go to the Senior Center for the monthly lunch. In the afternoon the Laplanders band provided the afternoon music.
Saturday morning Auxiliary members will be taking the shopping cart to each room for residents to choose something for themselves or to give to someone special. The Auxiliary donates the items for our cart. We have some others make donations also and we appreciate them. Sunday School is taught by Shirley Pierce of the Baptist Church. This week the afternoon services will be with the Sheridan Christian Church.
