County Commission Minutes for April 7th

Meeting was called to order at 9:00 am by Presiding Commissioner. Members present: Mozingo, Calhoon and Waldeier.
1. Commissioner Waldeier made a motion to approve the March 31st minutes. Commissioner Calhoon seconded. Motion carried.
2. Commissioner Waldeier made a motion to approve the agenda. Commissioner Calhoon seconded. Motion carried.
3. Commissioner Calhoon made a motion to approve and pay bills. Commissioner Waldeier seconded. Motion carried.
4. Linda Brown, County Treasurer gave financial reports.
5. Pat Kobbe, Emergency Management Director came to the Commission with quarterly reports. Discussed a 96 inch tube on road 228, which was replaced last spring. She also reported 31 people attended tornado spotter training.
6. Sean Cameron, Double C Seamless Guttering dropped off a quote for repairs to the soffit, facia and new seamless gutters on the county barn. After discussion Commissioner Waldeier made a motion to accept the quote. Commissioner Calhoon seconded. Motion carried.
7. Don Turner, land owner in Smith township came to the Commission to request a tube be replaced on south end road 279.
8. Dan Parman, land owner in Allen township requested a field entrance tube off of road 164.
9. David Hunt, land owner in Middlefork township requested a driveway tube off road number 64.
10. The Commission and Jim Fletchall, Road and Bridge Supervisor discussed track hoe bids. Commissioner Waldeier made a motion to accept Victor Phillips bid on a Hyundai 180 LC-7A. The bid at $ 98,560 was deemed best bid because it is the largest machine bid, past service from Victor Phillips, more than one machine serviced by this company and an eight roller undercarriage. This action is pending acceptable financing and documentation of the increased five year end to end warranty with no charge on service trips for warranty items. Commissioner Calhoon seconded. Motion carried.
11. Commissioner Calhoon made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Mozingo seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
