The Sheridan City Council voted Monday to pursue a grant to demolish the Schoolhouse. The building has deteriorated to the point where the roof and floors are caving in. The building has asbestos and lead in some parts. The council also decided to pursue the demolition of the former Bob Finch residence.
Water Superintendent Barry Lyle reported that he had shut two customers off for nonpayment.
The council decided not to renew the contract with the New Nodaway Humane Society. The city had not sent any dogs there to be impounded.
