Four people were injured in a four car wreck near Holt Friday afternoon at around 1:30 pm. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2012 Land Rover driven by Stacey Traxler (41) of Centerville (IA), a 2017 Ford driven by John Copeland (60) of Chillicothe, a 2018 Suba driven by Betty Dignan (73) of Cameron, and a 2019 Buick driven by David McLaughlin (74) of Dubuque (IA) were all southbound on I-35 one mile north of Holt. The Ford, which was in the passing lane, slowed down for congestion ahead; the Land Rover struck the rear of the Ford, the Buick struck the rear of the Land Rover, and then slid into the driving lane and struck the rear of the Suba.
The driver of the Land Rover, Stacey Traxler, received moderate injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. A passenger in the Land Rover, Natasha Repp (40) of Centerville (IA) was seriously injured and taken to Liberty Hospital. The driver of the Buick, David McLaughlin, received minor injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital. A passenger in the Buick, Sharon McLaughlin, received minor injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital. Dignan and Copeland were not injured.
