A Clearmont man was killed in a wreck Friday morning and two other people were injured in a wreck in Wilcox at around 8:47 am. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1999 Ford dump truck driven by Kelton Emery (22) of Maryville and a 1995 Chevy pickup driven by David Cruth (68) of Clearmont were both southbound on Route 71 in Wilcox at 224th Street. The dump truck was stopped in the intersection and the pickup attempted to avoid the dump truck and began to skid, striking the dump truck and running off the roadway. Cruth was killed in the wreck while a passenger, Neil Hacker (43) of Elmo, was seriously injured. Emery received minor injuries.
